Director's Desk Missionary Organizations Department (MOD) assists the Nigerian Baptist Convention in their task of fulfilling the Great Commission in Nigeria and other nations by creating avenues for meaningful mission service by intersecting lives, teaching missions as a way of life, mobilizing prayer, financial resources, and personnel for practical worldwide evangelism, discipleship, and developing godly leaders. Missionary Organizations Department is made up of:
- Men’s Missionary Union
- Royal Ambassadors
- Youth Ministries
- Baptist Student Ministries
Our Operation Missionary Organizations Department has developed standard of performance called MOD 4Es. The 4Es are:
E = Evangelism (The act of winning people to Christ and helping them realize their need for Him. In a sense, it is the “spiritual intercourse” through which new babies are born into the kingdom of God).
E = Establishment (The inward spiritual growth that must come as people become Disciples of Christ. Discipleship training is a process of maturing believers and multiplying dedicated and committed workers in a geometrical form).
E = Equipping (Itincludes contemporary teachings in relevant areas of needs: family, business, academics and others; so that people can apply their spiritual growth to ministry and outreach).
E = Extending (It involves taking discipled people to mission field and helping them find their place in mission action. It includes recruiting mission volunteers, mobilizing prayer, financial support for missions and providing information which will assist churches to respond to unusual needs in case of natural disaster).
Thank you for visiting our web site. We encourage you to link up with other divisions of the Department.
